My experience in translation is largely Spanish to English. Due to my being a native English speaker, this is the optimal language pair. I began studying Spanish at age fourteen, and have been involved, formally and informally, with interpretation and translation continuously ever since.
My first permanent position as a translator was at Sunny Days, a company that provides early-childhood-development therapy. Following that job, my work has centered on academic translation for my master’s thesis. I have not stopped developing my professional résumé though. ProZ.com, a renowned online job forum for translators, certified me as a professional-level translator after a process of peer review and checking into my qualifications.
